Jalapeño Duck Egg Rolls: A Delightful Twist on Wild Game Cuisine

  • Duck meat (preferably teal), finely chopped - 2 cups
  • Jalapeños, diced - 1/2 cup
  • Onion, finely chopped - 1/4 cup
  • Bacon, cooked and crumbled - 1/2 cup
  • Cream cheese - 8 oz (1 block)
  • Shredded cheese (such as cheddar) - 1 cup
  • Egg roll wrappers - 10-12
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Garlic powder - 1 tsp
  • Cooking oil, for frying


  1. Preparing the Duck: Finely chop approximately 2 cups of duck meat, seasoning it with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Making the Filling: In a large bowl, mix the duck, 1/2 cup diced jalapeños, 1/4 cup chopped onions, and 1/2 cup crumbled bacon. Add the cream cheese in pieces and 1 cup of shredded cheese, mixing well.
  3. Assembling the Egg Rolls: Place a portion of the filling on each egg roll wrapper, folding and sealing them with water.
  4. Frying: Fry the egg rolls in hot oil until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  5. Serving: Serve the Jalapeño Duck Egg Rolls hot, with your preferred dipping sauce.
